The President Wants to Buy Greenland

Bemusement was a common reaction to the news that American President Donald Trump was interested in buying Greenland. His real interest in the island was perhaps due to its strategic location and its rare-earth metal deposits, used in computers and mobile phones. China supplies many of these metals, and ownership of Greenland would give the U.S.A an alternative source. President Trump cancelled his trip to Denmark when they said Greenland was not for sale.
