Brisbane-based artist James Hillier, also known as Nordacious, specialises in portraiture, creating work inspired by pop culture, Australiana, social and political commentary and queer + camp. Hillier has had three solo exhibitions since 2015. His work was exhibited internationally at the COP26 Climate Conference in Glasgow in 2021. One of Nordacious’s works was used as a limited-edition CD cover for the Elton John and Britney Spears single ‘Hold Me Closer’.
