Despite having been opposition leader since 2019, Anthony Albanese remained something of an unknown quantity for many voters in the lead-up to the federal election. In contrast to the Australian Labor Party’s dense policy platform in 2019, this time around Albanese maintained a ‘small target’ approach to campaigning in an effort to avoid alienating voters.
