Drover's Dog
Jon Kudelka’s cartoon takes aim at Labor leader Anthony Albanese. So called ‘faceless men’ — behind-the-scenes powerbrokers — urge support for Labor’s new tax policy. The ‘Drover’s Dog School’ is a reference to a comment by former party leader Bill Hayden, who made way for Bob Hawke before the 1983 election. Hayden famously said that even ‘a drover’s dog’ could win the election.
