Why Am I Like This? I Blame My Mum

Rare for a political cartoonist, First Dog on the Moon spoke in (almost) first person when he alluded to his responses to the state of the world and shared some of his biography. This cartoon elicited almost 450 comments from readers, many reaching out to First Dog personally, such as this one: ‘I’d like to thank your mum for giving us an external conscience that works to help all of us look at our own actions and weigh them. And thank you too, for doing Important Work. I know I certainly don’t thank you often enough.’
