Revising the Narrative

Inspired by the contentious issue in the United States of local authorities in the South removing statues of Confederate generals, David Pope wondered if statues of another sort were changing in Australia with the Government taking a different tack in its characterisation of Opposition leader Bill Shorten. Senior Coalition figures warned of ‘Red’ Labor and accused the Opposition leader of ‘socialist revisionism’.
