A glass half full
Treasurer Joe Hockey began again with a new budget and spoke mainly to what voters want to hear. No more speeches on austerity, cuts and the debt and deficit crisis, this budget was to be, in the words of the Prime Minister, ‘a glass half full’. Instead he delivered more encouraging budget messages to reassure the public that, despite falling commodity prices, a growing national debt and other economic woes, Australia remained a prosperous country to work, save and invest in.
