Election Pillars
Early in his first term Prime Minister Abbott asserted his position and took the view that he could inspire the public with his election strategy to grow the economy and support manufacturing. His agenda was a four-pillared plan to stop the boats, repeal the carbon and mining taxes, fix the budget and reduce red tape. As the pillars started to crack, little shoots of public discontent started to grow.
