Bipartisanship (sort of)
During the first week of May 2013 Prime Minister Gillard and Opposition Leader Abbott debated how DisabilityCare (formerly National Disability Insurance Scheme) should be paid for. After the Prime Minister released the full details of who would be covered by DisabilityCare the Coalition agreed to support a 0.5 per cent rise in the Medicare levy to 2 per cent to finance it.
