Alan Moir’s cartoon depicts retired Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston on board the HMAS Quandary throwing life rings to the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader. Julia Gillard’s life ring is labelled ‘Nauru’ and Tony Abbott’s ‘Malaysian Deferral’.
